Bye hebe, hello fruit
Thankfully all the snow has gone now from my area, and the ground has thawed out and my brassicas survied, i have a bed of Kale, Spring cabbage and red cabbage that i was starting to feel i lost under all that snow.
Today I have managed to get out in the garden, and dig up the last of the old hebe and turn the ground with some soil improver from my local tip, this then will be having some fruit bushes planted in a couple of weeks. I have a square space for 6 bushes to grow, with a wall on one side, and a fence on another. I know i would like three gooseberry bushes there - i love gooseberry crumbles. But not sure what would work with them, have been thinking about tayberries but have been told they can be difficult does anyone grow them successfully and have any tips?
