July already
Well I don't know about you, but I can't believe its July already. . . . . I am yet to harvest a beetroot, carrot, Tomato, Bean and the strawberries have decided i will be getting only runners this year, oh well time to pot up some new plants and the old can come out in September.
I have had some lovely black currents, white currants and raspberries and wonderfully sweet peas too.
I have tried two new pop up cages, and though they do look a little like upside down laundry baskets they seem to be doing the job of keeping the nasty cabbage whites of my brassicas.
Corn, courgette, cucumbers, toms and beans are starting to flower so harvests should be soon.
One the plus side I have finally made my bench (well put the flat pack together) and can now enjoy long summer evenings under my fruit trees.
One note of concern my plum, greengage and cherry never blossomed this year did anyone else have this?

Our cherry did nowt either, am thinking the blossom coincided with one spell of heavy rain that maybe knocked it off?
