Plus I got my first egg this morning

On the vegetable side, the harvests are finally coming on strong, got a nice sack of potatoes from two of my bags, harvesting broccoli before it flowers, beans are now grower both runner and french.  Salad leaves, herbs, courgette and carrots all being harvested as needed and the sun is shining lovely.

In the greenhouse my cucumber is doing wonderful, and i have lots of green tomatoes just waiting to ripen.

The Corn is growing strong and the winter veg is good.  The soft fruit have come to the end of their harvest so its time to tiding them up, feed and let them rest now.  Overall a lovely weekend has been had, hope yours was as good.

  1. How brilliant that your new ducks have been eating all the slugs and snails! That's really exciting that you had your first egg too :) Your potatoes and cucumbers look great.

I'm really jealous of your slug eaters! Sadly I think they would be incompatible with our cat ... though I must say we are tempted to get chickens. But we have discovered we have a secret night time raider: a most beautiful hedgehog who we are encouraging to eat as much as possible and a series of beer traps!

Thanks for comments, the girls are getting on lovely. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs and none are bothered by the ducks rosalin, and two of my cats are hunters. I think the ducks are just too big.
