Joyous July
So July has started off well for me, my old shed has gone floor had rotted beyond repair and will now have two smaller sheds, 1 already in place will be a potting shed and the other will store the animal stuff and odds and ends.
July also found me finding the bargains galore starting with a local crafts men making wooden planters 1 got a 2ft x 1ft x 1ft trough for £8 and its solid wood lovely it will be painted and planted up with a passiflora to grow over my shed.
Then on Monday in B&Q I found some redcurrant and blueberry plants for 50p, some cape daisy’s, lupins and carnations at 20p each, all have been re potted well watered and we will see what happens.

On veg side the mangetouts look like they are coming to the end, which will leave me with a bit of a gap as my beans are only just flowering. Lettuce, spring onions available, harvested my garlic and its drying nicely. Potatoes are flowering so will have some earlys this weekend, also harvested a swede this morning which have been loving the cooler wetter weather.
The one thing I have really loved this year is my flower bed, and this morning it was full of bees and hooverflies really nice to watch with my cuppa in hand, though I haven’t seen a lot of ladybirds.
