Like a lot of gardeners I use far more compost than I make, so do purchase several bags during the year. Last month I was tempted by an early deal on grow-bags which saw me with 10 bags in March, but boy am I glad I got them this week, as the 6 I have left are currently being used as weights to keep things from blowing over in my garden.

Like most of the country the winds have been very strong over the weekend, and today seems them getting up to 55mph - thankfully all my new trees are staked and I haven't built the bean and pea supports yet.
So to cheer myself up, I have bought a little veg to brighten my kitchen up.
