Good bye white hello green

So the snow is finally melting here on the east coast and I am starting to get itchy fingers to get out and start sowing.

My seed potatoes have arrived this week, I have good old Charlotte as usual and this year I have decided to try Sarpo Mira for my main crop and pink fur.  I have wanted to try pink fur for ages and now have found some seeds on ebay no less to try.

As a discount store fan – I have started browsing the shelves of the gardening items starting to make their way in, and so have picked up a new set of gloves, some large trough type pots (£2 each bargain) hemp string, 60 fibre pots for £1.79, my wild flower seeds and some alpine strawberry seeds.

Now I am new to raising strawberry’s from seed so am keen to see how easier it is, and whether they fruit in the same year as seeding.  Also the pack I have got says I need to put the seeds in the freezer for two weeks before sowing! Has anyone ever heard of this and done it?

So tomorrow I will be setting my firs potatoes out to chit, sowing some peas, herbs and salad in the green house and potting on my primroses that have survived in the winter yeah
