Is that really sunshine!

Actually managed to get out in to the garden for 5 hours yesterday (with a couple of tea breaks of course) and again this morning.

So all the necessary but boring jobs are done, grass cut and strimmed.  Neighbours honeysuckle cut back again! and compost turned.

All my raised beds are now planted up, and i even harvest some lettuce yesterday.

I am trying two with the square foot planting so we will see how that works. This one has lettuce, peas, carrots, fennel, spring onions x2, turnips, french beans and Beetroot and a volunteer potato which must have got in through the old compost i used last year.

This bed has a three sisters theme, with sweetcorn, beens a courgette and a butternut squash.

Last year i had a problem with earwigs in my corn so will need to work out what to do if that happens again this year.

The strawberries, soft fruits and fruit trees seem to be doing ok, and the weeds certainly seem to be going strong but at least it looks productive now.
